OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Hooks,
webbing and ratchet must be in line with load force.
2. Pull out web slack. Pump handle to snug webbing tight. For secure hold,
ratchet reel must have two layers of webbing wound around it. (Fig. 1)
3. Too many layers of webbing will jam ratchet. If this happens, start
procedure again removing more slack and webbing.
4. Lock handle down flat for transit (Fig.
2). When tie-downs are secure, vehicle should NOT MOVE.
5. To release, compress release bar and rotate ratchet handle 180
degrees. (Fig. 3)
6. Vehicle tires should be checked. Put vehicle in gear and set brake.
7. FOUR tie-downs are REQUIRED. Place one at each corner of
the vehicle.
8. Secure hooks to suitable eye-bolt on transporter frame with sufficient
strength for extreme tie-down stress.
9. Pass webbing over vehicle frame or axle. Wrap a rag around webbing to
protect sharp edges. |
